Soprano Teresa Perrotta recently made her international debut as Marie Antoinette in The Ghosts of Versailles at L’Opéra Royal de Versailles under Joesph Colaneri's baton. In summer 2021, she will be a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Artist, performing as Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Ms. Perrotta frequently collaborates with living opera composers. Through Cincinnati Opera's Opera Fusion: New Works, she has sung leading roles in Kevin Puts' The Hours and Tobias Picker's Awakenings. Ms. Perrotta would have made her role debut as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with The Glimmerglass Festival, but the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Recent performance highlights include: Clarissa Vaughn in Kevin Puts' The Hours (Workshop - Commission for the Metropolitan Opera), Rose in Tobias Picker’s Awakenings (Cincinnati Opera: Opera Fusion New Works), Elle in Poulenc's La voix humaine (Independent Project), Soprano Soloist in Carmina Burana (Cincinnati Choral Society), Donna Anna cover in Don Giovanni (Chautauqua Opera), Manja in Countess Maritza (Ohio Light Opera), Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito, Magda in La Rondine, and Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte (CCM). Ms. Perrotta is a finalist in the 2020 Lotte Lenya Competition and a two time Regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
