Courtney Stancil is a soprano from Houston, Texas, currently residing in Dallas. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University in 2012 and received a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Southern Methodist University in 2015. Roles performed include Adele from Die Fledermaus, Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro, Papagena from The Magic Flute, Belinda from Dido and Aeneas, Mrs. Hayes in Susannah and Serpetta in La finta giardiniera. She was part of the Dallas Opera Education Outreach program for four seasons as a Teaching Artist and was seen as Despina in The Three Little Pigs and Dorabella in The Bremen Town Musicians. She performs recitals regularly in the DFW area with pianist, Mary Dibbern and tenor, Christopher Leach.
