This season she returns as a featured artist with Baltimore Musicales, premiers Friend House for the inaugural season of The Podcast Opera Company, and performs a reduced Messiah with Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church. Ms. Galloway joined the Ravinia Steans Music Institute as a Fellow this summer online and will return in person next year. In 2019, she sang Blanche in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites with both Saltworks Opera and the Savannah Voice Festival with Fabrizio Melano. She also portrayed Vitellia (Clemenza) in Oslo. Alongside Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti), Contessa (Nozze), and Donna Elvira (Giovanni), she has also premiered roles in Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park and Frances Pollock’s Stinney, featured in the 2019 Prototype Festival. In past seasons Ms. Galloway was a semifinalist in Tier I of the James Toland Vocal Arts Competition, NYIOPS/Premiere Opera Vocal Competition, the Partners for the Arts Vocal Competition, and the Mildred Miller Competition. She was a finalist in the Saltworks Opera Competition and an award winner in Tier II of JTVA. An avid recitalist, she presented a recital based on the life of Rosa Ponselle at the elegant George Peabody Library. She is curator of the related Ponselle exhibit at the Peabody Institute, where she currently teaches.
