Cecelia Hall

Cecelia Hall has appeared in leading roles at many of the world’s finest stages, including Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, The Santa Fe Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Canadian Opera Company, Opera Philadelphia, and Oper Frankfurt, where she is a member of the ensemble. Cecelia Hall kicked off her 2020-2021 season with rave reviews for her debut as the title role in Händel’s Xerxes at Oper Frankfurt and she is slated to end the season there for a new production of Dialogues des Carmélites. Cancellations for the season include Varvara in Katya Kabanova with the Canadian Opera Company and a return to Carnegie Hall with St. Lukes Orchestra. Ms. Hall has debuted several notable roles at Oper Frankfurt in the last four seasons, including: Idamante/Idomeneo, Irene in R.B. Schlather’s new production of Tamerlano, Octavian/Der Rosenkavalier (canceled due to Covid), Hänsel/Hänsel und Gretel, Marguerite/La Damnation de Faust, a Liederabend with Hilko Dumno, Dido/Dido and Aeneas, Fulvia/Gluck's Ezio, and returned to Mozart's Cherubino, Zerlina, Second Lady, and Dorabella. A graduate of the Juilliard School, DePaul University, the Lindemann/Met, Ryan Opera Center, and Samling training programs, her other recent highlights include recitals at Carnegie Hall with ACJW and Marilyn Horne's Song Continues, Ramiro/La Finta Giardiniera in Santa Fe, War Stories and Cold Mountain at Opera Philadelphia, Rosina at the COC, Teseo at COT, Sesto/La Clemenza di Tito at OTSL, Annio at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Javotte/Manon and 2nd priestess/Iphigenie at the Metropolitan Opera.
