Riley Conley
A native of Pennsylvania, trumpeter Riley Conley has been fortunate to perform under many esteemed orchestra conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Valery Gergiev, Rossen Milanov, Rafael Payare, Robert Spano, and Patrick Summers. Biography

Riley Conley

A native of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Riley Conley began his life-long journey with the trumpet at the age of 10. In addition to performing, he maintains a private teaching studio, working with beginners to collegiate-level musicians. Riley has been fortunate to perform under many esteemed orchestra conductors such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Valery Gergiev, Rossen Milanov, Rafael Payare, Robert Spano, and Patrick Summers. He has performed with the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, the American Youth Symphony, with members of The Cleveland Orchestra in a sacred music series, and can be heard on the 2018 album "New Pocket" by Cleveland-based band Runaway Brother. During the summer of 2019, Riley was named section trumpet with the Lake Tahoe Music Festival Orchestra and attended the Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar. He attended the Aspen Music Festival & School in 2017 and most recently as an orchestral trumpet fellow in 2018 where he performed with numerous ensembles. He also received Honorable Mention in the "ages 19-25" category for the 2018 Ictus International Trumpet Competition. Riley began his trumpet studies at age 14 with Robert Dolwick. He received a Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music where he studied with Jack Sutte, and a Master of Music degree from The Colburn School, where he studied with James Wilt. His additional trumpet studies include lessons with Raymond Mase and Kevin Cobb at the Aspen Music Festival, as well as studying privately with Micah Wilkinson, Bill Lucas, Lyle Steelman, and John Brndiar.
