Luzerner Theater

Opening in the autumn of 1839 to Schiller’s William Tell, the Lucerne Theatre now has 481 seats. Idyllically located on the banks of the River Reuss, the Lucerne Theatre is the oldest multi-genre venue in Central Switzerland. It’s also one of the largest cultural institutions, offering a variety of opera, drama and dance productions.
