Peter Scott Drackley

Lauded by Opera News as having “showed vocal confidence [...] his luminous head voice blooming with expansive and penetrating phrases,” and by Opera Today as bringing "the performance to an awestruck standstill with his exquisitely singing.”, Peter Scott Drackley has performed Cavaradossi (Tosca), Rodolfo (La bohème), Riccardo (Un Ballo in Maschera), Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana), and Pollione (Norma). Mr. Drackley is a frequent concert soloist, having sung the tenor solo in Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and 9th Symphony, and Verdi’s Requiem. Notable concerts include with Helena Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Washington National Cathedral, National Shrine, Strathmore Mansion, Library of Congress, and Carnegie Hall. Mr. Drackley studied at Peabody Conservatory with soprano Phyllis Bryn Julson. Mr. Drackley continued training with dramatic soprano Alexandra LoBianco, and with young artist programs including Sarasota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Santa Fe Opera. Mr. Drackley has received awards from the Mario Lanza Competition, the Nicholas Loren Vocal Competition, , and the McCammon Voice Competition. In 2020, Mr. Drackley sang Rodolfo (La bohème) with Opera Idaho, Scalia (Scalia/Ginsburg) with Opera Carolina and Opera Grand Rapids, and was schedule to sing Radamès (Aïda) with Raylynmor Opera, and return to Des Moines Metro Opera to sing Chekalinsky (Pikova Dama) and Pirelli (Sweeney Todd), and cover Gherman (Pikova Dama). Mr. Drackley will debut Calaf (Turandot) with Opera Grand Rapids, and return to Anchorage Opera for Cavaradossi (Tosca).
