Biography

Kresley Figueroa

Kresley Figueroa, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is currently earning her MM at Rice University under the tutelage of Dr. Stephen King. She earned her BM at The Juilliard School where she studied with Marlena Malas. Kresley made her Kennedy Center debut with the National Symphony Orchestra in 2018 performing the role of Francisca in a series of West Side Story concerts conducted by Steven Reineke and directed by Francesca Zambello. In the summer of 2018, she joined The Glimmerglass Festival as a Young Artist performing two of Bernstein’s great works as Francisca while covering the role of Maria in West Side Story and performing Trio in Trouble in Tahiti. In 2020, Kresley will perform the role of Bubikopf in an innovative film production of Der Kaiser von Atlantis conducted by Jerry Hou and directed by Patrick Diamond . Other recent roles include Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito and Satirino in La Calisto at Rice University, Adina in a concert performance of L’elisir d’amore at the Music Academy of the West, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and Fiona in Brigadoon at The Chautauqua Institute. Kresley is currently based out of Houston, Texas.
