Adrian Kramer

During the 2018-19 season Tenor Adrian Kramer appeared with Opera Philadelphia as Normanno in Lucia di Lammermoor, Opera Omaha as Gérard in Philip Glass’ Les enfants térribles, and Edmonton Opera as Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, as well as making his off-Broadway debut with ERC as the Tenor in Tchaikovsky: None But the Lonely Heart. This year, he was scheduled to cover Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Opera Philadelphia and Saratoga Opera (both canceled due to COVID-19), and to sing Steuermann in Die fliegende Holländer with Lake Area Music Festival, (rescheduled to 2021 due to COVID-19) and Don José in Carmen and Narraboth in Salome, both with Opera San Jose (postponed due to COVID-19). Additionally in 2021, Adrian looks forward to singing Spoletta in Tosca with Opera Philadelphia, and in 2022 he will return to San Diego Opera as 1st Armored Man/2nd Priest in Die Zauberflöte and make his Cape Symphony debut as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (canceled due to COVID-19). Additional recent commitments include performances with San Diego Opera as Don José in La tragédie de Carmen, Opera Omaha as Bill in Flight and Joe in La fanciulla del West, and Santa Fe Opera as Borsa in Rigoletto, the Second Nazarene in Salome, Owen's Son in Cold Mountain, and the Second Bodyguard in Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Initially training as a baritone, Mr. Kramer's professional credits in that repertoire include performances with Chicago Opera Theater, Canadian Opera Company, the Castleton Festival, Cal Performances, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Glimmerlass Opera.
