Associate Producer (MTT25: An American Icon)

• Researched and coordinated distribution of digital assets (film, photo, and print materials) for audio and film editors. • Helped draft storyboard of performance, tribute, and archival elements. Managed receipt of footage from participating artists. • Coordinated and led review of digital databases with team of producers to develop aspects of show flow, script, and credits. • Liaised and reviewed assets with SFS Media, Archives, and Post-Production teams to ensure editorial accuracy and quality.

• Prepare research on operas, productions, artists, broadcast media content, licensing of materials for live transmissions and scripts. • Work with editorial staff to prepare art cards; prep and coordinate promo in conjunction with Marketing/Press and HD teams. 
• Research and pre-select content; manage artist budgets, and field produce Live in HD shows and partnership events w/Ford Foundation & Alvin Ailey. 
• Liaise with Met Artists and staff, front of house to production team (e.g. production managers, orchestra management, wardrobe, as required), for rehearsals/walk-throughs.

Biography

Ras Dia

Ras Dia specializes in multi-disciplinary arts programming. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (M.Mus), he is the Creative Producer of Heartbeat Opera's BREATHING FREE, Assistant Producer of the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody- and Emmy-award winning Live in HD series, Programming Director of Thresh, and most recently served as Associate Producer for MTT25: An American Icon presented by the San Francisco Symphony. He is the former Managing Director of the New York City Master Chorale, and has worked with the National Children’s Chorus, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Carnegie Hall, and National Sawdust, where he produced the Artists-in-Residence program, and co-created SAUCE, a community-based series of artist sessions.
